You know how hard it is to find the Roast Date on coffee beans? Fo’geddaboudit! You’re lucky to find a ‘best by…’ date on the biggest roasters in the biz! Best by does no coffee over any good, we wanna know when our beans were roasted to ensure optimal freshness! Storyteller not only does this but proudly flaunts their roast date in big bold typeface on the front of their beans! I like my roast date to be between 5 and 20 days old - Storyteller sent my beans to me less than 6 days old - that glorious fresh roast fragrance filled the air upon opening up the bag after delivery. Even 10X more potent when it brews! Best roasted beans in the NW for sure!!

Really glad I was introduced to this coffee by a friend who visited the Storyville store. He started a subscription upon returning to South Carolina. One Sunday morning, after a worship service, my friend introduced me to Storyville coffee. The Prologue was the first black cup of coffee I had ever had. I was blown away. Normally, I dislike black coffee intensely, but the Prologue had such great flavor and was very smooth going down. Then, I tried the Sunrise Espresso and that was very good, as well. On Sunday mornings, I put one packet of Sugar in the Raw into a cup brewed from 15g of beans. I totally savor it and enjoy how satisfying it is. My friend gave me a bag to try at home, and I loved it. So, now I have a monthly shipment sent to the house. Very thankful for this coffee. I look forward to it everyday. Before drinking Storyville I was putting 2 teaspoons of sugar and some heavy whipping cream into every cup of coffee, and I was drinking 3-4 cups of other brands nealy everyday. That's a lot of sugar and cream. But now, when having a cup at home, I brew one large cup at a time (approx. 15g of beans) and I put one teaspoon of Coconut Oil and one teaspoon of raw honey into it. In an insulated cup, it lasts for hours and I enjoy every last drop. This stuff is great! So thankful for it!
